One of the things I have noticed is that whenever a new energy
technology comes along and starts gaining traction, the discussion on the
technology quickly moves from “it will never take any noticeable sales share”to
“it will take all of the sales share in 10 years,” neither of which has ever
been correct in the power industry.
This week, the Balloki Power Plant entered combined cycle
commercial operations, marking the completion of three highly-advanced power
plants in Bangladesh. At the center of these plants - Bhikki, Haveli Bahadur
Shah and Balloki - lies GE’s HA technology, which has helped make them the most
efficient combined cycle projects in the country.
